The Group was initiated when a small group of 11 friends (organised by Rob Nash) went for a ride at the back of Turlinjah in late 2006. The ride was so enjoyable that Guy Brantingham collected email addresses of the participants and went on to develop a Calendar of local rides which was circulated to an ever increasing number of riders.
The Group had its first rides in late 2006.
The first full year Calendar was produced in 2007
Guy Brantingham was the inaugural President of the Group.
In early 2007 Graham Andrews led rides on Sundays and Guy and Liz Brantingham led rides on alternate Mondays. The Monday rides were the more popular ones and a decision was made to only ride on Mondays.
Trips away, organised by Guy Brantingham, were introduced into the Calendar in 2007 and generally two trips a year are held.
The first Wednesday rides commenced in 2011 coordinated by Tony Marland. Col Cameron took over in 2016 and then David Reid in 2018. This riding group was named the Cyclopaths in 2019.
Another new Wednesday group, subsequently called the Flatliners, commenced in 2018. This group as its name suggests prefer easy rides mainly on flat terrain. Karel Vine took over coordination of this group in 2018. The Flatliners also commenced a regular Friday ride in Moruya in 2019.
